اسرائيل ۽ مصر جي وچ ۾ هيءُ تاريخي معاهدو 1978ع ۾ آمريڪي رياست ميري لئنڊ جي شهر ڪئمپ ڊيوڊ ۾ طئي ٿيو. اِن معاهدي ۾ فيصلا ڪيا ويا ته: (1) فلسطين کي داخلي يا اندروني خودمختياري ڏني ويندي، (2) اسرائيل 1967ع جي جنگ دوران قبضي ڪيل عرب علائقا خالي ڪندو، (3) سينائي جو صحرائي علائقو واپس مصر جي حوالي ڪيو ويندو ان جي جواب ۾ مصر اسرائيل کي هڪ آزاد يهودي رياست طور تسليم ڪندو. هن ٺاهه ۾ آمريڪي صدر جمي ڪارٽر ٽياڪڙي ڪئي ۽ تڏهوڪي مصري صدر انور السادات ۽ اسرائيل جي وزيراعظم مينهم بيگن پڻ سرگرمي ڏيکاري. انهيءَ ٺاهه جي نتيجي ۾ عرب دنيا ۾ مصر خلاف شديد ردعمل ٿيو ۽ عرب ليگ طرفان مصر جي ميمبرشپ معطل ڪئي ويئي. بعد ۾ مصري انتهاپسندن طرفان انهيءَ معاملي تان مصري صدر انور السادات کي هڪ فوجي پريڊ دوران قتل ڪيو ويو
